Semi Abstract Movement

An old gem still left from the early 2000’s.  I rented a house with an army buddy of mine shortly before 9/11 kicked off.  I stapled this very rough raw canvas up in the laundry room of that two-bedroom house in Hopkinsville, KY USA.  It has a very light coat of gesso, and the cotton duct is very rough.  It almost has the quality of burlap.  Super rough sketched this content out, got deployed overseas and had to rip this off the wall finished just like it is.

Its been rolled up and eventually stretched on a stretcher.  I have wanted to paint over it, but friends and random art collectors tell me how much they love it.  It does have a great raw feel to it.  I think I added several simple brushstrokes to it in 2023 to tighten it up and finish it.  Once again, very rare piece that survived the early years of sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll, and war.

I would highly recommend picking this piece up.  I will even drop the price a little is you let me roll it up and ship it to you.  The piece has a lot of movement in also which is mos def indicative to the time of my life in many literal ways.
